A man doesn't say "Autumn," a man says "Fall"

There’s the hint of a chill in the air these days. It’s only in the first breath I take when I walk outside in the morning. In another month New York will be cold, but for now the weather is satisfyingly pleasant. Outdoor seating at cafes is at a premium again as the heat and humidity have finished vacationing in the City. The sun still has a few more weeks of leisured sightseeing before it flies south for the winter -- no more late nights and early mornings trying to fit a full day. The new relaxed schedule and relaxed weather suit me just fine.

Yesterday on 57th Street I passed Carson ‘Queer Eye’ Kressley. He was dressed to the nines in cufflinks and pinstripes. He had a cell phone glued to his ear and he marched importantly down the sidewalk. In a related story I think I also passed an Olsen twin on Hudson Street. She looked rough. Rough.
